Indie Spotlight terms
Version 2026-10
These terms are the agreement between you and Rangsk Media, LLC for Indie Spotlight. “We,” “us” and “our” mean Rangsk Media, LLC. “You” means the person who submits a game or, if they submit it on behalf of a company or other organization, that organization. If you submit on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you have authority to accept these terms for it. Our videos are published under the name Rangsk. All prices are in US dollars.
Who can apply
Indie Spotlight is for independent puzzle and word game creators without a traditional marketing budget. Whether a game fits is our judgment; there is no numerical test.
You must own the game, or have its owner’s permission to submit and promote it, and the information you give us must be truthful.
You must give us free access to your game, with in-game ads turned off, while we review it and while we record. If removing ads normally requires a paid upgrade, you provide that upgrade at no charge.
Your game must be playable on Web, iOS, Android or Steam. We don’t record games on other platforms. If your game is on more than one of these, we choose which to record.
Application fee and review
Submitting a game costs a $10 application fee, and resubmitting a game after we reject it costs another $10. The fee pays for our review. It is never refundable, including if we reject the game or you decide not to purchase a feature.
Approval is at our discretion and is not guaranteed. If a submission has minor issues, we resolve them with you through messages without another fee.
You can edit your submission until we review it. Once we approve or reject it, the submission is locked, and anything you want to add goes through messages.
Approval does not expire. Fees and approvals cannot be transferred between games.
Features and price
A feature costs $50. The application fee that led to your game’s approval counts toward that game’s first feature, so the first feature costs $40. Each later feature costs $50. A fee paid for a submission we reject is not credited toward any feature.
Each game can have one outstanding feature at a time: one that is paid for and not yet published, refunded or cancelled. Different games are counted separately, so each of your games can have its own outstanding feature. You may not submit the same game more than once to have it in the queue more than once. This includes submitting it under another name, or submitting different modes of one game as separate games. If we find a duplicate, we may reject it, and we may cancel and refund any extra feature bought for it.
We show the amount due before you pay. The terms in effect when you pay govern that payment, and we will not change them afterwards without your agreement.
The queue
We feature games roughly in the order their features were paid for. We do not guarantee an exact recording or publication date.
You can pause a queued feature and resume it later. We will not select it while it is paused, and resuming keeps its original place.
Coverage and publication
We play your game unscripted and give an honest reaction, which may include constructive criticism. Payment does not buy praise, endorsement, a particular tone or rating, views, or editorial approval.
We typically publish features on YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and TikTok. We cannot guarantee every platform if technical, policy, account or format limits prevent publication there. We include a direct link to your game where the platform permits, and we disclose the paid relationship.
Refunds
While your feature is queued or paused, you can ask for a refund by sending us a message about the game from your dashboard. We may grant it at our discretion.
A refund covers the feature payment only. Application fees are never refunded. Your application fee always counts toward the first feature of your game that we publish, even if earlier features were refunded.
Changes to these terms
We may publish new terms for future payments. Each payment stays governed by the version you accepted when you made it.
