Sudoku Adventure

Sudoku Adventure is a daily series of original, handcrafted 6×6 Sudoku variant puzzles designed as an approachable introduction to the world of Sudoku variants.

Each video explains the rules and walks through the puzzle's logic step by step. You can also try the puzzle yourself before watching my solve.

The free Sudoku Adventure tracking sheet includes links to more than 1,300 puzzles, so you can play through the full archive at your own pace.

NYT Sudoku

I live solve the New York Times Hard Sudoku every day.

In each video, I explain the logic and techniques you'll need to solve the puzzles yourself.

I also focus on making Sudoku enjoyable, with an approach to solving that makes it something you can look forward to every day.

Logic Wiz Sudoku variants

Logic Wiz sponsors my full-size Sudoku variant series, where I solve 9×9 puzzles from the Logic Wiz app and talk through my solving process from start to finish.

Each puzzle uses a different mix of variant constraints, including thermometers, arrows, killer cages, renban lines, German whispers, and Kropki dots. I explain how the rules interact and what to look for first, so the techniques carry over to other variant puzzles.

These solves are longer and more involved than Sudoku Adventure, making them a good next step once you are comfortable with 6×6 variants.

New York Times Word Games

I regularly solve Wordle, Connections, and the Mini and Midi crosswords.

I play Wordle in hard mode using a supporter-submitted starting word chosen by a spin of the wheel. I post the starting word ahead of time so viewers can play along and compare their solve with mine. As I solve, I explain how to anticipate and avoid common traps that can hurt your solve rate, followed by a detailed bot-driven analysis at the end.

In Connections, I aim for the coveted perfect reverse rainbow while talking through useful strategies, recurring patterns, and the community statistics for each puzzle.

For the Mini and Midi crosswords, I focus on interpreting clues, recognizing common crossword conventions, and making better use of the Midi's theme.

Crosswords & Cryptics

Follow along as I learn to solve full New York Times crosswords, working through unfamiliar clues, themes, and crossword conventions as I encounter them.

I also solve cryptic crossword clues through Minute Cryptic and Parseword, breaking down the wordplay and learning how the different clue types work.

These series are less about expert speed solving and more about learning as I go, getting better at recognizing common clue styles, and remembering the words and answers that come up again and again.

Pencil puzzles

I regularly solve pencil puzzles from GMPuzzles, covering a wide range of logic puzzle types and genres so you can discover new styles you might enjoy.

The puzzles are created by experienced constructors and are consistently high quality, making this a good place to explore puzzle types beyond Sudoku.

Word games

I play a wide variety of word games, including long-time favorites and supporter suggestions chosen each day by a spin of the wheel.

It's a great place to discover new daily addictions and challenges.

Netflix Puzzled

I play the daily handcrafted puzzles in Netflix Puzzled, including Starstruck, Snippets, Currents, and Neon.

The app is free to play with no ads, while a Netflix subscription unlocks additional features.

Netflix has sponsored the series in the past, but I have continued playing it on my own because I genuinely enjoy the puzzles.

Indie Spotlight

Indie Spotlight features small independent puzzle and word games. Indie developers submit their games for a small fee. I play the games as I normally would, and remain open and honest with my feedback and reactions.

Every game I've featured is listed on the featured games page, with links to play it.
