Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 30, 2026.
Rangsk Media, LLC runs rangskmedia.com and Indie Spotlight. This policy says what we collect, why, who else handles it, and how to have it corrected or deleted.
What we collect
Your email address, and if you sign in with Google, the name, email address and account ID Google provides. What you tell us about yourself: your name, the public name you want credited (or that you'd rather not be named), and optionally your pronouns. What you submit about your game, including links and any access instructions. The messages you exchange with us. For each payment: the amount, the date, the version of the terms you accepted, and Stripe's reference numbers.
What we don't collect
Card details go directly to Stripe; we never see or store them. We use no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.
Cookies and logs
One cookie keeps you signed in, for up to 30 days. A second, short-lived cookie is used only while you sign in with Google. Your browser also keeps a copy of your sign-in status so the page header shows correctly. Our server logs record sign-ins, payments, review decisions, errors, and slow page loads with your browser type, but not your IP address. We keep logs for one year.
How we use it
To review your game, to message and email you about it, to feature it, and to handle payments, refunds and our business records.
What becomes public
If your game is featured, the video shows your game and credits you by your public name, unless you chose not to be named. Your contact name, email address, submission answers, messages and payments are never published.
Membership area
If you're a channel member or patron, we keep your membership as YouTube or Patreon reports it: your channel or Patreon name and ID, your membership level and how long you've been a member. We also keep the Wordle words and bonus game you choose, and your chances on each wheel. The public wheels page shows your chosen words and games with your public name or handle and your number of chances. It never shows your email address or account IDs.
Google user data
This section covers what we receive from Google when you use Sign in with Google or Connect YouTube. Connect YouTube uses YouTube API Services. We also use YouTube API Services, without your sign-in, to look up the public handle of each channel in our channel membership report.
What we access
Sign in with Google gives us your Google account ID, your email address, whether Google has verified it, and your name. Connect YouTube asks for one more permission, read-only access to your YouTube account. We use it for a single request that returns the ID, title and handle of each channel you manage. We don't access your videos, playlists, subscriptions, comments, watch history or anything else in your Google or YouTube account.
How we use it
Your Google account ID and email address sign you in and let us email you about your account. Your channel ID matches you to your channel membership, so you can use it on this site. The channel title and handle label the connection on your Connected accounts page. We don't use Google user data for advertising or to build profiles, and we don't use it to develop, improve or train AI or machine-learning models.
How we store and protect it
We keep your Google account ID, email address and name with your account. We keep each connected channel's ID, title and handle with the connection. The YouTube access Google grants is used for that one request and then discarded; we never store it. Everything is stored with Amazon Web Services in the United States, encrypted in transit and at rest, and only Rangsk Media has access to it.
How we share it
We don't sell, rent or share Google user data. Amazon Web Services stores it on our behalf, and we disclose it only when the law requires. Nothing we receive through Sign in with Google or Connect YouTube appears on public pages.
Keeping and deleting it
When you disconnect a channel on your Connected accounts page, we delete the connection, including the channel's title and handle. Your membership stays, because it comes from YouTube's membership report, and our activity log keeps a note that the channel was connected. To delete your account, email support@rangskmedia.com. We will delete your Google account ID, email address and name within 30 days, except for payment records we're required to keep. You can also remove our access at any time at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions.
Limited Use
Rangsk Media's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy (https://developers.google.com/terms/api-services-user-data-policy), including the Limited Use requirements. By connecting YouTube, you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service (https://www.youtube.com/t/terms). Google's Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy) explains how Google handles your data.
Connecting Patreon
When you connect Patreon, Patreon tells us your Patreon user ID and name once. We store both with the connection and don't keep the access.
Who else handles it
Amazon Web Services hosts the site, stores its data and sends its email. Google handles sign-in if you choose it. Stripe processes payments. YouTube and Patreon report memberships, and are used when you connect them. Proton hosts the mailbox where your messages to us are delivered. They receive only what they need to do that. We do not sell personal information or share it for advertising.
How long we keep it
For as long as your account is open. Payment records are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require, even after an account is deleted.
Your requests
Email support@rangskmedia.com to see what we hold about you, or to have it corrected or deleted. We will delete everything except records we are required to keep.
Children
The site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given us information, email support@rangskmedia.com and we will delete it.
Changes
When this policy changes, this page will show the new version and date.
